Artist Statement
From 2005 to 2010, my artistic approach was based on two elements:
In fall 2010, I felt the need to delve deeper, with two objectives in mind:
- Where is beauty found? What is beautiful? Is beauty the same for everyone?
- What themes and realities can or must a figurative painter explore if he/she wants to represent his/her era: an increasingly urbanized, industrialized, mechanized environment?
In fall 2010, I felt the need to delve deeper, with two objectives in mind:
- Delve deeper into the different relationships between man and machines, between main and the tools he uses.
- Increasingly simplify portrayals, while remaining figurative, through the choice of colour and form, thereby allowing the environments in which these relationships are experienced to be felt through movement and lack of definition.
